Eagle Scout Ribbon bars were issued between 1934 - 1946. The Ribbon Bars were later replaced by embroidered square knot patches starting in 1947. Over the years, the knot was produced with various background colors to match the different uniforms.
Ribbon Bar 1916 - 1919 (Dieges & Clust)
Identification: The letters D&C are marked on the back. The ribbon is attached to the pin by a brass backing, whose ends wrap around the front of the pin. Later issue ribbon bar pins have the ribbon wrapped around the pin and sewn on the back side. |

Ribbon Bar 1934 - 1939 (Without Eagle)
Identification: Adults who had earned Eagle Scout began to be recognized in 1934 with a red, white and blue ribbon bar. Different backings exist. |

Exploring Ribbon Bar 1995 - ?
Identification: Law Enforcement Exploring program introduced a ribbon bar to recognize Eagle Scout and the Gold Award of the Girl Scouts of the USA in 1995. |
